Origins of 12One Training: A few years ago, I was at a point physically where I needed to make a change, not temporary but lasting. As I looked for something to light a fire from within, God spoke through one of my best friends. He told me about a yearly competition hosted by bodybuilding.com called “The Bodybuilding.com Transformation Challenge”. It was a 12 week contest based solely on change and you would be one in a pool of thousands across the country vying for a $50,000 prize and a year’s worth of supplements for free. I felt confident that I could be quite the challenger in this contest due to the fact that, on separate occasions previously, I had dropped from 225lbs to 168lbs in 3 months and from 235lbs to 183lbs in 2 months. While that sounds like quite an accomplishment, I would always gain back what I lost, but not in lean muscle. As a matter of fact, I have always battled weight problems. My all time highest bodyweight was 260lbs at 5”8. So, I felt God led me to make a lasting change, not just for the hope of winning a $50,000 reward, but to use as a platform for ministry one day. So, I accepted my best friend’s challenge. For 12 weeks, I changed everything about myself and completely sold out to my task. I gave 100% in three areas: diet, cardio, and weightraining. My starting weight was 215lbs. By the grace of God, I finished weighing 170lbs! I hadn’t weighed that since 2002! I didn’t win the grand prize, nor was I even a runner up. However, I felt no disappointment. God commissioned me from that point on to develop a ministry in the form of fitness to change lives. At that moment, 12One Training was born. To better understand why I chose 12One as the name of my ministry, I will explain its origins. 1) “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”-Hebrews 12:1. This was my theme verse throughout my training. 2) It took me exactly 12 weeks to accomplish my one goal. You will be provided step by step instructions down to the finest detail on how to accomplish this task. What makes us different is that our programs do not require you to take out a loan.
